Power BI Architect

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect to design, develop, and implement a robust Power BI environment from the ground up for seamless integration with Snowflake. This role requires deep expertise in data architecture, visualization, and business intelligence solutions, specifically within the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights, ensuring compliance with healthcare data regulations and optimizing performance for analytics at scale.
Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop a scalable Power BI environment, ensuring optimized connectivity and performance with Snowflake.
  • Design and implement data models, ETL pipelines, and data governance frameworks tailored to healthcare data needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and healthcare stakeholders, to define reporting requirements and dashboards.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, and other healthcare data security regulations.
  • Optimize Power BI DAX queries, data ingestion, and performance tuning for large datasets.
  • Develop and implement best practices for Power BI administration, including workspace management, access controls, and scalability.
  • Train and support business users on Power BI adoption, enabling self-service analytics while maintaining governance.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging BI trends, Snowflake enhancements, and healthcare analytics innovations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Architect designing end-to-end BI solutions from scratch.
  • Strong expertise in integrating Power BI with Snowflake, optimizing queries for large-scale analytics.
  • Healthcare domain experience with knowledge of clinical data models, claims processing, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and advanced data modeling techniques.
  • Experience with ETL tools, data warehouse design, and cloud-based analytics platforms.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Services, SQL, and Snowflake's architecture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field; certifications in Power BI or Snowflake are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with FHIR standards and healthcare interoperability frameworks.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML applications in healthcare analytics.
  • Expertise in performance tuning for large datasets within Snowflake and Power BI.
